The biggest challege was how to make a cohesive experience put of two separate features Resume Check, which helos you optimize your resume and or Cover Letter Builder that helps you create a custom cover letter.
Also, when I was presented with the project the main constraint from poduct was for me to find a way to make improvements on the existing tool before dedicating bigger eng resources and time into rebuilding Resume Tailor from the ground up.
To make sure we were building the right thing for our users and reducing risk, it was important that we focused on the sufficient features that would satisfy our early adopters. We focused on what exactly the core functionality of the app should be and the problems it should solve in respect of the user and the business needs. These areas were:
1. Verification of Student Status
Students must be able to seamlessly verify themselves as a student while keeping non-students out.
2. Discovery of discounts
The app can only succeed if users can find discounts for brands or activities they are interested in.
3. Redemption of discounts
Integrity will be lost if users have a bad experience while using our discounts.
As we concentrated on these core features, I used The Action Priority Matrix to plot ideas. By choosing stories intelligently, we could make the most of our time and opportunities
physical effort is required from Riders and Drivers to recover, which leads to frustration and wasted time.
“...how might we help Riders and Drivers form a better pickup plan?”
This begged the question, how might we help Riders and Drivers form a better pickup plan? Our proposal was Rendezvous, a pickup plan created on behalf of Riders and Drivers.
